Naran is a town and most popular tourist destination in upper Kaghan Valley in Mansehra District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. It is located 119 kilometers from Mansehra city at the altitude of 2,409 meters. It is located about 65 kilometers away from Babusar Top.The valley covers a distance of 155 kilometres (96 mi) across northern Pakistan, rising from its lowest elevation of 650 m (2,134 ft) to its highest point at the Babusar Pass around 4,170 m (13,690 ft).Naran Kaghan is famous as a tourist destination, owing to its pleasant weather in peak season every year thousands of tourists rush to explore the valley. Lulusar Lake, Naran Kaghan Valley

Lulusar (Pashto: للوسر), (Urdu: لالو سر), or Lalusar, is a group of mountain peaks and a lake in the Kaghan Valley in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan.It is 48 kilometers away from Naran, on Naran-Babusar road Near Gittidas the loveliest spots to camp on this trail, just before the final grade to Babusar Top and surrounded by tall peaks is the 11,000 feet high Lulusar Lake out of which river Kunhar issues with redoubled strength to flow down the valley first as placid blue stream and then a roaring torrent until it joins the Jhelum. Lulu Sar Lake is wreathed in blue and gold wild flowers, and is the main source of river Kunhar. Lulusar is just one many high elevation lakes that sit along the crest of the ridge. Lulusar Lake is said to be one of the most tranquil spots on the Kaghan Valley, the lake is fenced by snow capped mountains whose image is reflected on the standstill blue-green waters of this approximately three kilometers long “L” shaped lake. Lulusar has very enchanting beauty and its view remains in the mind of tourist for a long time. The is surrounded by snowcapped hills whose purple and white forms are reflected in the green-blue waters of the silent lake, making it one of the most beautiful spots in the valley. From Gittidas the road goes on through the Babusar Pass into Gilgit. This road is one of the highest in the world.

Babusar Top, Naran Kaghan Valley

Babusar Pass is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 4.179m (13,710ft) above the sea level located on the boundary between Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan provinces of Pakistan. It’s one of the most hairpinned roads in the world.Babusar Pass or Babusar Top (Urdu: درہ بابوسر) (elevation 4,173 metres or 13,691 feet) is a mountain pass in Pakistan at the north of the 150 km (93 miles) long Kaghan Valley, connecting it via the Thak Nala with Chilas on the Karakoram Highway (KKH).The road to the summit, also known as Babusar Top, was recently asphalted. Due to the unavailability of necessary facilities, one should take eatables and necessary items with them. The road is wide and useable for all kinds of vehicles. It is a typical Pakistani mountain road, with hills on one side and a deep khud (valley) on the other side. Although there are efforts to upgrade the road, most progress has been made on the Chilas side. You should definitely get local advice before crossing the Babusar Pass. The PTDC in Naran is a good source; in Chilas, try field officers at the Northern Areas Public Works Department (NAPWD) executive engineer office, or Natco drivers on the Babusar village run. The road over the pass was first constructed by the British as an alternate route to connect Gilgit agency with British India. Every year many deaths happen here due to the mountainous slopes, which are among the most dangerous in the world. The most common reason for death is the brake failure of cars due to inexperience. Towards the top of Babusar Pass, the turns are sharper and steeper. Make sure your car’s brakes, exhaust systems, and heater are in good condition.

Saif-ul-Malook Lake, Naran Kaghan Valley

The Lake Saiful Muluk is named after a legendary prince. A fairy tale called Saif-ul-Muluk, written by the Sufi poet Mian Muhammad Bakhsh, talks of the lake. It tells the story of the Egyptian Prince Saiful Malook who fell in love with a fairy princess named Princess Badri-ul-Jamala at the lake.Saiful Muluk is a mountainous lake located at the northern end of the Kaghan Valley, near the town of Naran in the Saiful Muluk National Park. Shogran Siri Paye Meadows is a slope station arranged on a green level in the Kaghan Valley, northern Pakistan at a tallness of 7,749 feet or 2,362 meters above ocean level. It is a beautiful slope station with encompassing perspective on Makra Peak and Musa Ka Mussala.
